THE Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka Branch has joined the "Bring Back Our Ojaruega" campaign by threatening to proceed on indefinite strike without further notice, if something is not done fast by the Delta State
Government and Security Agents to free her kidnapped member, Mrs Enajite Ojaruega.
Mrs Ojaruega, who is a lecturer in the Department of English and Literary Studies, DELSU, Abraka, was ambushed and violently kidnapped since Monday 19th May, 2014 at gun point by unknown gunmen near Eku in Ethiope East Local Government Area on her way to work at about 8.30am. Up to the time of filing in this report, Mrs Ojaruega, a humble, hardworking, dedicated house wife and mother has been kept incommunicado. According to ASUU-DELSU "there is a standing action principle of ASUU National regarding the kidnap of her members. Further delay in the release of Mrs Ojaruega would compel the Branch to activate this principle which will not be in the interest of the society".
