According to eyewitnesses, the meeting was going on for a long while when an exco suddenly insisted that a guy who had come into the Lt to read with his laptop to read must leave or he, the exco, would leave their meeting. People say the exco had an unsettled beef with the guy reading. His fellow excos then met the guy and told him to leave so the meeting would continue but the guy refused, insisting that he had being reading for a while and didn't see what his presence had to do with their meeting. The LT became rowdy as a heated argument ensued between the guy and the excos.
The distracted readers gradually began to exit the hall as they could no longer bear the distraction. A 100lvl student with some other students sitting next to the chaos were stuck in their chairs as they could not leave due to the gathering blocking their exit points, so they decided to chill. One of the excos walked up to the 100lvl girl grabbed her arm and asked her if she won't leave. In shock, she told him that she could not leave because there was no road, and retaliated by grabbing his trousers. This attracted other excos who gathered the innocent girl threatening to beat her up if she did not leave the Lt. They abandoned the other guy whom they initially faced and the guy went on operating his laptop undisturbed. They found the 100lvl student a better prey. Another girl, Nabs, who could no longer take the threats being mated out to the 100lvl student then intervened, specifically warning them that if they laid a finger on the girl, their she would make sure their parliament was dissolved that night by the VC himself. The argument gained momentum, as the whole parliament faced Nabs, her friends and the 100lvl. Nabs, who has a knack for being strong headed insisted that she would not leave the LT until the excos beat her up as they had promised. It finally took 2 sensible members of the parliament to calm things down. They finally managed to get Nabs and the others out of the LT after much pleading.
