Dr. Kent Brantly, one of the two US doctors who contracted the Ebola virus in Liberia, has spoken out for the first time. He released a statement from his isolation room at Emory University in Atlanta where he's being treated after he was flown out of Liberia last week. He is the first Ebola patient to receive experimental serum, ZMapp. Below is the statement Brantly released to the media yesterday
"I am writing this update from my isolation room at Emory University Hospital, where the doctors and nurses are providing the very best care possible. I am growing stronger every day, and I thank God for His mercy as I have wrestled with this terrible disease. I also want to extend my deep and sincere thanks to all of you who have been praying for my recovery as well as for Nancy and for the people of Liberia and West Africa.
"My wife Amber and I, along with our two children, did not move to Liberia for the specific purpose of fighting Ebola. We went to Liberia because we believe God called us to serve Him at ELWA Hospital." Continue...
"One thing I have learned is that following God often leads us to unexpected places. When Ebola spread into Liberia, my usual hospital work turned more and more toward treating the increasing number of Ebola patients. I held the hands of countless individuals as this terrible disease took their lives away from them. I witnessed the horror first-hand, and I can still remember every face and name.
"When I started feeling ill on that Wednesday morning, I immediately isolated myself until the test confirmed my diagnosis three days later. When the result was positive, I remember a deep sense of peace that was beyond all understanding. God was reminding me of what He had taught me years ago, that He will give me everything I need to be faithful to Him.
"Now it is two weeks later, and I am in a totally different setting. My focus, however, remains the same - to follow God. As you continue to pray for Nancy and me, yes, please pray for our recovery. More importantly, pray that we would be faithful to God's call on our lives in these new circumstances."
I have a busy day ahead but i just wanna quickly state an obvious fact! Ebola they say can be contacted via eating bush meat and close contact with infected primates. The same bush meat our fore fathers feasted on their entire generation and lived longer, our ancestors Co existed with primates without a problem, which brings me to believe that it is possible that Ebola was created by man! Now the question is by who? I have ready about a conspiracy theory by the western world to de population the earth, could this be their tactics? Almost all the deadly virus in history started in Africa Why? Now two of their own contracted the virus and all of a sudden there is an experimental drug "Zmapp" that has worked yet they are not ready to share with Africa. How do you think the pharmaceutical giants of the world remain relevant? Well i have always had this thought that it is possible they intentionally create certain diseases and also create the drug to cure it, they release the disease, of course Africa is their number one testing ground and when the disease spreads and becomes a problem, they release the drugs to cure it and so make billions in revenue, I may be wrong but this is a huge possibility...
ReplyDeleteWhat is most annoying is the feeble mind of my fellow Nigerians, i woke up this morning to find messages about bathing with salt water as a preventive measure against the Ebola virus... Pathetic! well its the weekend you can visit the beach and swim for hours in the salty ocean water of Elegushi, there after, take a trip to Liberia and hug an acutely ill Ebola patient and see if your funeral will not come in a short while.
What is the origin of this salt and water theory?
Who has tested it?
Who carried out the research?
What proof does anyone have that it works?
I sure would like answers to these questions so i can quickly go cover myself up in salt water...NONSENSE!!!
BLOG ANALYSER: I wept after reading it
