SAD: plane crashes behind fuel depot near Lagos airport!

Sad news for Nigeria as a passenger plane carrying not less than 27 people crashed behind a fuel depot near the murtala Muhammed airport in Lagos about 30mins ago shortly after take-off.

At least five bodies have been recovered and one person is being treated for serious injuries.

The Associated Airlines plane was bound for Akure in the south-west of the country.

The engine of the plane appeared to fail and the aircraft plunged to the ground and burst into flames, aviation officials said.

A spokesman for the Nigerian Aviation Ministry said rescue efforts were continuing. Aviation Ministry spokesperson said that there are some survivors
